Although I do not agree with most of the social issues surrounding the Boy Scouts of America I know one thing: the Boy Scouts have given me some of the greatest adventures of my life.
Being in the Boy Scouts has given me opportunities that I wouldn’t get in other extra-curricular activities. I have done things, gone places, and had absolutely incredible experiences.
I have met people from all over the nation and the world. I have seen the second largest gathering of scouts in the world. I have ridden some of the strongest rapids in the nation. I have hiked trails that seemed to never end, and I have scaled the sides of a hundred rock faces. I have stood on the top of mountains and looked out into forever.
I’m happy to have done all of that. I’m happy I stayed in it till the end. I’m proud to be an Eagle Scout.

Video games have always been special to me, but the Ocarina of Time has a permanent place in my heart. Not only is this one of my favorite video games of all time but it is something much more to me. I remember when I got it me and my dad sat down and played for days and days. I would sit next to him on the floor, wrapped in a blanket, with the game guide in my lap and play navigator as he piloted us through the magnificent world of Hyrule. I had all of the songs memorized in case he ever needed to use one and I still remember Zelda’s lullaby. I guess to me this game represents a time when video games weren’t my escape. They were time spent with my dad, who is at times my worst enemy, but always my best friend.
